Michael Walters is from Port Talbot, South Wales. He studied astrophysics at the University of Kent, then spent a year training to be a journalist before becoming a computer programmer. In his spare time, he studied creative writing, completing an MA in Creative Writing with Manchester Metropolitan University.
His debut novel, The Complex, was published by Salt in 2019. His short story, Signal, was published as a limited edition chapbook by Nightjar Press in October 2020.
He is currently a software developer and lives with his wife and two children in North Yorkshire. He is working on his next novel.
